Computer accounts can be obtained from the senior institute member to whom a student or visitor is affiliated.

Telephone:

The internal code for the telephone is a five-digit number which you find under the receiver; to call from abroad dial (+43-1-)58801 + this code. To call from the University (within Vienna) either dial a '02' (business calls) or '03' (private calls) before the regular number or, equivalently, press the button left below the dial before lifting the receiver. Calls outside of Vienna are only possible through a calling card.

Mail, Fax:

Incoming mail is distributed on a shelf in the `Postraum' (10th floor) If you stay longer, consult Mr Hochfellner to get your personal mail-box. To mail a document simply put it into the rightmost lower partition (labelled `zurPost...'); it is emptied daily.

Also in this room you will find a Fax-machine which may be used free (no limitation to Vienna).

Library:

The institute has an own Institute Library in the 10th floor where a number of textbooks on theoretical physics and related topics is kept. They may be borrowed; please, obey the special rules (enclosed).

The Physics Library, containing e.g. the Journals, is located at the 2nd floor (use key G124!)
Note: Journals (bound or loose) must not be removed from the library! There is, however, a copy-machine.

Personal Sheet:

Enclosed you will find a form which you are kindly asked to complete and hand to the head of the institute (currently Prof. W. Kummer). This is only necessary for stays of more than 4 weeks, especially if the stay is financed by a project.

Preprints:

Guests are encouraged to publish the work done during their stay (on consultation with some senior member of the institute) with the affiliation ``Institut für Theoretische Physik der TU Wien''.
